Bishop Brandon is a well-loved pastor, minister, spiritual father, and community leader. As Senior Pastor and CEO of several churches, Bishop Brandon oversees one of the fastest growing congregations in the Shreveport/Bossier City, Louisiana area, Praise Temple Full Gospel Baptist Cathedral. Covered in ministry by Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr., the Presiding Bishop of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, International (FGBCFI), Bishop Brandon is also the founder and CEO of Praise Temple Ministries and L. L. Brandon Ministries, Inc.
A socially active leader, businessman and minister, Bishop Brandon serves as the Chair/CEO of the Northwest Louisiana Church Chamber Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Shreveport Airport Authority, and serves as the Chair/CEO of the Board of the Northwest Louisiana Community Development Corporation. He is a seasoned member of various Boards of Directors, including the Council for the Advancement of Social Services and Education, the Shreveport Rescue Mission and “Fit for Life” Campaigns, the United Way Louisiana, Northwest Louisiana Region, and the Council for the Advancement of Social Services and Education. In January 2010, Mayor Cedric B. Glover recommended and appointed Bishop Brandon to the Shreveport Airport Authority Board, which was confirmed by the City Council. Bishop Brandon is the Managing Partner of Brandon Group International, LLC.
Having received numerous certifications, awards and proclamations, Bishop Brandon is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and has also served as a Certified Pastoral Addiction Counselor (CPAC) for the National Board of Addiction Examiners. Certified by the United States Air Force and the Louisiana State Board as a Substance Abuse Counselor, Bishop Brandon has served as a member of the Board of Directors for Louisiana’s “One Church, One Addict” program.
A graduate of the Summer Leadership Institute ‘99 at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Bishop Brandon has earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Divinity from Baptist Christian University of Shreveport, Louisiana. In addition, he has an earned a Master of Theology from Guadalupe Baptist Theological Seminary of San Antonio, Texas, and is the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from Louisiana Baptist University. Bishop Brandon is pursuing a Masters Degree in Divinity at the Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Among his many accomplishments, Bishop Brandon received the honor to serve as a panel guest for the Social Security Reform Effort during President George W. Bush’s visit to Shreveport in March 2005. On November 23, 2010, he earned the distinction of being unanimously recommended and approved by the Shreveport City Council to have Hutchinson Street in Shreveport dedicated in his name.
Bishop Brandon and his wife, affectionately known as Co-Pastor Wanda, joyfully serve together in ministry and they have three children.
